Maximum: Industry at the decoration’s service

Every year, around 344 million tons of materials end up in the skips of French factories. It is in the light of this consideration that Maximum decided to make the most of these resources obtained during the production process and perfectly reusable.

From wastes to design
At a time when the exploitation of raw materials weakens the planet’s ecosystems, use these industrial wastes seems like a necessity and appeals to common sense. It is when a piece of furniture is designed that tests are performed in French factories. Several steps are therefore needed to get the final result which will then be sold in store. It is this material used at the moment of these trials which is salvaged by Maximum, then turned into table, armchair or stool in Ivry-sur-Seine brand workshops (94). Thus, the material changes its status from waste to object, with a real artisanal approach.

French industries as collaborators
To create these furniture, Maximum collaborates with French industries. Like this, it is thanks to the cooperation of A.Schulman factory that Rotoman 2.5 stools and Gravêne 9.5 armchairs are produced. This company makes prototypes in order to test the quality of the plastic substance, which then end up in the bin. Maximum gives them a second life, without using a new material nor an extra energy. An idea which enables to combine respect for the environment with top of the range decoration.
