Exhibition: Eclectic, a 21st century collection
Besides its exhibitions “African Routes” and “From the Jordan River to the Congo River”, the musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac presents “Eclectic – a 21st century collection" until April 2nd 2017. This retrospective exposes around 40 pieces of art, mainly African, from the non-occidental art collection of Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière. Through this exhibition, it is the history of non-occidental art works of this early century that is exposed, and through the eyes of this collector. Visitors can thus discover the masterpieces of the Fang art, Baule and Dogon, but also Roman marbles, Greek ceramics and many other masterpieces. To create his collection, Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière let his emotion guide him and whished for a dialogue between civilizations. This event is to discover just a few metro stations away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
