Exhibition: Dolce Vita
With its "Dolce Vita" exhibition, the Musée d'Orsay takes a closer look at the notion of "Italian style", which came into its own at the beginning of the 20th century. At the time, the nation is craving for progress and sees in decorative arts a way to access it. Cabinetmakers, master glassmakers and other ceramists join the greatest artists to give birth to this peculiar Italian style. A hundred works of arts are now presented in chronological order, from the Liberty style of Carlo Bugatti or Federico Tesio, to the Futurism, from the classicism with Gio Ponti's ceramics to the rationalist style, and including the style known as the "Novecento". A retrospective, which allows visitors to expand their knowledge of the History of Italian painting, among other things.
