DESIGN FOR ALL : FROM PRISUNIC TO MONOPRIX, A FRENCH ADVENTURE

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs celebrates the history of design for all as regards two of the largest major retailers of everyday objects which had chosen to democratize design: Prisunic and Monoprix. The exhibition « Design for all: from Prisunic to Monoprix, a french adventure » traces, through the permanent collections of the museum, with over 500 masterpieces (furniture, objects and advertisement posters), this creative and committed adventure, which sums up the motto that became cult: « The beautiful at the price of the ugly ».
