Kiosques en Fête: Paris revives its bandstands!
For this first edition, Kiosques en Fête suggests more than 800 activities spread out in several arrondissements of the capital. At the root of this event? A call for projects named “Des kiosques pour faire la fête”, launched by the Mairie de Paris in 2014, in order to renovate the 40 bandstands of the capital and open them again to the public. From the 3rd to the 20th, walkers can enjoy free open-air activities, since last April 15th, and this until next December 31st.
A rich and varied programme
In the 16th arrondissement, just nearby the Passy quarter and the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, it is at the Jardin du Ranelagh’s bandstand that festival-goers meet. Young and old alike are invited to discover a traditional guinguette ball and can take part in artistic workshops with Paris Enchantée Par Cherish. Performances of Argentine tango and New Orleans jazz free concerts are also already scheduled.
