Species considered extinct have been rediscovered

Year after year, the list of species threatened or extinct gets longer,  alongside the decline in biodiversity. Nevertheless some of them seem to refuse to submit to this fate. In 2021, several species,  which were considered extinct, reappeared. For example, it is the case of the giant otter in Argentina observed for the first time in thirty years, of the marsh mugger crocodile spotted in a Bangladeshi village, of one of the world’s rarest chameleons found in Malawi, and also of a grandduke photographed for the first time in Borneo in 130 years.
