After the retrospective exhibitions dedicated to the Swedish artists, Carl Larsson and Anders Zorn, and to the Golden Era of danish painting, the Petit Palais Museum continues its presentation of Nordic artists. The present monography, organized in cooperation with the Helsinki Ateneum Art Museum , is dedicated to Albert Edelfelt, one of the glories of Finnish art. About one hundred paintings will guide the visitor through the evolution of his career and show how this artist largely contributed to the acknowledgement of finnish art at the end of the XIXth century.
