Ma-cons-eau, the innovative eco-responsible campaign of Biocoop
Since January 1st, 2017, Biocoop decided to stop selling bottles of plastic water, which are both polluting and expensive. This revolutionary commitment was taken with the aim of reducing the energy cost and the ecological impact of the manufacturing and the distribution of plastic bottled water. On March 24th, 2017, Biocoop launched the campaign Ma-cons-eau, imagined and designed by the agency Hungry and Foolish. Relayed on the website of Biocoop, it increases the awareness of the consumer by indicating the average quantity of bottled water consummated in a year, the total emission of CO2 spread in the atmosphere (in kg), the travelled distance (in km) to transport bottles to outlets, the weight of the non-recyclable waste, and the quantity of water wasted to make plastic bottles. Biocoop offers alternative solutions to the consumption of plastic bottled water: such as the installation of filters under or on the kitchen sink to enjoy healthy and purified tap water, or the use of reusable bottles. A beautiful initiative which the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, welcome.
“Campagne Ma-cons-eau” (website in French), launched on March 24th, 2017.
