2017 Edition of European Heritage Days
The 34th edition of European Heritage Days is held on the theme of youth. This inescapable cultural event of the return, witness of the public benefit for its history and heritage, is held from September 16th to 17th, 2017. This year, discover the activities proposed by 3 inescapable art places of the 16th arrondissement, Green Hotels Paris’s quarter, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
National theme: “Youth and Heritage”
This new edition is resolutely turned toward youth and its heritage and History awareness. Each participating museum presents reactional workshops reserved for children. The Maison de la Radio proposes a varied programme of concerts guided visits and workshops namely on songs and nursery rhymes, for families with 4 to 6-year-old children. The Maison de Balzac opens freely its doors to discover the retrospective “Un roman, une exposition. Une passion dans le désert”. It also organizes a reactional workshop for children, to make them discover Balzac’s heritage from a philosophical standpoint. As regards the Musée de l’Homme, it unveils the exhibition “Nous et les autres. Des préjugés au racisme”, dance shows and the projection of “Pockets Films” realized by museum’s young visitors.
