2nd edition of the Lire la Nature fair in Paris

The Salon du livre Lire la Nature (Lire la Nature book fair) will be back on January 20th, 2018 for its 2nd edition, at the musée de la Chasse et de la Nature de Paris (Paris museum of Hunting and Nature). Literature lovers will have the opportunity to discover works focused on the protection of nature, which is increasingly threatened by the predominance of breakthrough technologies.

Meetings with committed writers
This day, dedicated to the modern relation between Man and nature, will organize one-hour meetings with thinkers and authors committed to the environmental cause. The Italian writer Paolo Cognetti, the French writer and traveller Sylvain Tesson, as well as the French physician, writer and academician Jean-Christophe Rufin will be attending the event to discuss the important role of mountains on the planet. The prix littéraire François Sommer (François Sommer literary award) will also be presented to reward the best literary work questioning the man/nature relationship.

Conferences, projections and workshops for the younger ones
The program of this 2018 edition will include conferences and projections, like the one given by the physician and French explorer Jean-Louis Etienne (the first man to have reached the North Pole, solo) on the impact of global warming on the North and South Poles. At the end of the day, visitors will be able to relax in front of the projection of the documentary inspired by the best-seller "The Hidden Life of Trees", by the forester Peter Wohlleben. The Salon Lire la Nature also thought of children, who will be able to attend storytelling readings and discovery workshops designed to encourage them to read and raise their environmental awareness. This enlightening event is available for the whole family to discover, at the heart of the Marais district.
