To get the year off to a good start, from January 10 at the Grand Palais, the unique creations of the prestigious fashion house Dolce&Gabbana are brought together in the exhibition “From the Heart to the Hand: Dolce&Gabbana”. A true declaration of love to Italian culture, this retrospective highlights the inexhaustible source of inspiration for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. It reveals the aesthetic journey of their works, first conceived in their imaginations before coming to life, meticulously crafted in their workshops.
Conceived by fashion historian Florence Müller, this exhibition pays tribute to Dolce&Gabbana as the embodiment of Italian style. It traces the evolution of an audacious dream that gave birth to their Alta Moda, exploring a singular vision of luxury, blending elegance and sensuality, while cultivating humor, impertinence and extravagance.
The pieces presented, all unique, are the work of Italian artisans with exceptional know-how. They illustrate the many facets of Italian culture that nourish Dolce&Gabbana's creative universe. Through a thematic tour, the exhibition celebrates the diversity of their influences, drawn from Italian art history, architecture, craftsmanship, regional traditions, music, opera, ballet, cinema, theater and, of course, the timeless spirit of “la dolce vita”.
