After fashion in the 50’s, Jeanne Lanvin and the Countess Greffulhe, the Palais Galliera is now interested in the evolution of fashion from the 18th century to these days, with its exhibition named "Anatomy of a collection”. For this occasion, around 100 accessories and clothes are displayed to curious people, stemmed from the Galliera’s holdings. The pieces exhibited enable to understand the personality of the great figures of the History of France or the one of illustrious strangers who wore them. Therefore, you will be able to admire Marie-Antoinette’s girdle, Sarah Bernhardt’s cape, Napoléon’s waistcoat, George Sand’s dress or else, Mistinguett’s closed-toe sandals. Other essential piece not to be missed: Audrey Hepburn’s outfit. This nice retrospective which can be visited a few minutes walk from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, will captivate fashion lovers.
