P’tit Vélib’ conquers the capital
Vélibs' are no longer for adults of over 5 feet tall only. La Mairie de Paris recently launched the P'tit Vélib', allowing children between 2 and 8 years old to ride a bicycle. Families can rent bicycles for their children: there are four models, adapted to the age and height of the child. To comply with the safety norms, cycling helmets are always available and you can only rent a P'tit Vélib in light traffic areas of the capital, where it feels nice to pedal. You will teach the young ones how to ride a bike and enjoy family bicycle rides along the banks of the Seine River, the Ourcq Canal, the Green Belt, or at the heart of the bois de Boulogne, the bois de Vincennes and the jardin d'Acclimatation. The P'tit Vélib' will also be part of some Parisian events like Paris Plages. It is also an excellent way for your children to get familiar with eco-friendly means of transport.
