Exhibition: Jan Sivertsen, Color field
The House of Denmark is welcoming Danish painter and graphic designer Jan Sivertsen with his retrospective "Color field", until July 15th, 2018. After Henrik Saxgren's photographs, Sivertsen's colourful paintings are taking possession of the 142 of the avenue des Champs-Elysées. Born in 1951 in Denmark, Jan Sivertsen spent five years at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, before travelling to Spain, Morocco and France. He discovered Paris in 1982 during a study trip and decided to move there permanently in 1984. His paintings were very quickly associated with abstract expressionism. Since 1979, the artist has switched to figurativism. The event offers to discover the different facets of Jan Sivertsen's portfolio, with works dating from 1983 up to the present day. This free exhibition is available just a few metro stations away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
