A sustainable development-oriented terrace on the Eiffel Tower

From June 6th to August 30th 2015, the Eiffel Tower's visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a summer terrace on the first floor of the famous Parisian landmark, an addition, which falls within the Tower's ecological imprint reduction plan. Related to the theme of sustainable development, this temporary space is the occasion to relax in a friendly and interactive atmosphere, particularly recuperative inside the most visited paying monument in the world.

Well-being and sustainable development highlighted
Comfortably settled in one of the "lounge" area's sofas, you will enjoy sipping a glass of Champagne or a refreshing drink as well as eat a sandwich, a salad or a homemade ice-cream made using French milk and baked by Philippe Urraca, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France. This terrace's distinctive feature: its furniture entirely made from recycled or recyclable materials produced in France. High chairs, benches and pouffes made from boat sails, plastic or pallets of recycled wood, and even, pedal-equipped deckchairs allowing users to recharge their phone batteries via the strength of their calves... the nods to ecology are plenty! As far as the decoration is concerned, greenery is also essential, as box trees will embellish the space. A 6-meter high replica of the Eiffel Tower made from pallets with a stainless steel structure will further ornate this innovating area, which, at night, is lightened up by pale LEDs. The floor is easy to reach and you will not have to wait in line if you choose to use the stairs for (only) 345 steps! An ephemeral terrace next to the Green Hotels Paris, which will also provide a stunning view on the entire capital, and notably the Champ de Mars. Be sure not to miss it!
