Hyundai presents a hydrogen-powered SUV in Geneva Motor Show
Hyundai is currently presenting its brand new hydrogen-powered SUV, Intrado, at the 84th Geneva Motor Show. Both the structure (made of carbon and provided with super lightweight steel body panels) and technology of this concept-car are inspired by the aircraft industry. As for its name, it is a reference to the underside of an aircraft’s wing, which allows the plane to fly and is called intrados.
A 100% green vehicle
Hyundai Intrado SUV has a range of 60 kilometers and only takes a few minutes to charge up completely. Thanks to its hydrogen fuel cell drivetrain, Intrado only emits water, which makes it fully environment-friendly. Besides, the power generated by the hydrogen fuel cell is directly transformed then stored in the 36kWh battery. We just have to wait for the production version of this brilliant innovation.
