Philippe Decouflé presents his “Nouvelles pièces courtes” at the Théâtre National de Chaillot
Philippe Decouflé and his DCA company capture the Théâtre National de Chaillot, in Paris, from December 29th, 2017 to January 12th, 2018, to present “Nouvelles pièces courtes” (“New short plays”). This dance performance is composed by five sketches that cross styles and universes, each one having a singular universe, the only common point between them being the artist himself. Indeed, Philippe Decouflé comes back to dance’s basics and stages here personal emotions, passions and desires by drawing his inspiration from his personal history or from his travels. The artists dance on stage, on Vivaldi’s music, the favourite composer of the choreographer’s deceased mother. This charming and colourful show is to be discovered right next to the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni. It will be reintroduced at Chaillot, on spring 2018, from April 20th to May 10th.
