The Paris Jazz Festival returns for its 24th edition
From June 17th till July 30th, 2017, the Parc Floral de Paris (Floral Park of Paris) welcomes the Paris Jazz Festival for its 24th edition. This year, jazz lovers can enjoy outdoor concerts on the grass of the park, four exceptional nocturnals, as well as musical animations for families, conceived to sensitize adults and children to environmental protection. Among these animations, there is the Bambouseraie, a workshop of instrument manufacturing from collected objects (cans, shells etc.). The program of this 2017 edition: a first weekend dedicated to jazz and to French songs, with the clarinet specialist Thomas Savy, and a nocturnal ensured by the eminent harmonica player Olivier Ker Ourio, in duet with the guitarist Sylvain Luc. The festival is built on a double thematic associating the performances of great personalities of the jazz scene and emergent artists, such as the Guadeloupean saxophonist Jacques Schwarz-Bart and the singer Lisa Simone, daughter of the diva of American soul and jazz music, Nina Simone.
