Lafayette Anticipations: the new cultural space in Paris
Since March 2018, the city of Paris has been enriched by a new arty space called Lafayette Anticipations. This new art spot is entirely dedicated to design, fashion and contemporary art creations. The Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette called on Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas to transform the 2,200 square metres of a 19th century industrial building located in the Marais. After three years of renovation, the building offers 875m2 of exhibition space, production workshops, a space dedicated to artistic practice for all audiences, a café-restaurant and a boutique. At the heart of the building, a steel and glass "exhibition tower" has been set up to host three to four exhibitions a year, as well as performances. Until September 9th, 2018, you can discover the retrospective “Le Centre ne peut tenir” (“The Centre cannot hold”) which brings together works by French and international artists exploring changing identities and geographies.
Exhibition “Le Centre ne peut tenir” (“The Centre cannot hold”), until September 9th, 2018.
Open Wednesdays through Mondays from 11a.m. to 8p.m.
Closed on Tuesdays.
Full rate: €8 / Concession: €5.
