Right near Hôtel Gavarni and Hôtel Eiffel Trocadéro, discover places to visit during the 30^th edition of European Heritage days, held this weekend everywhere in France. The theme of this year celebrates historical monuments protection, trough 31^st December 1913 law.

5 minutes walk away from the two hotels, the Musée national de la Marine suggests a free tour of its permanent collections, and also the discovery of restoration work of 5 boats classified as historical monuments.  Few meters away from here, the Modern Art Museum of the City of Paris is organizing conferences-tours of its permanent collections, lasting almost 1 hour. Eventually, it is also possible to visit freely the Wine museum, and take part to a (paying) tasting of great wines, within old Passy Abbey cellars  from  15^th century.

The 16th arrondissement of Paris hosts two architectural treasures, you can discover free of charge this weekend. On one hand, the Palais d’Iéna, impressing with its columns but also very elegant, creation of architect Gilles Bouchez, hosting Souverbie wall paintings. On the other hand, the Bagatelle Castle, classified as historical monument. You can visit it freely, but know that speakers will be there to answer your questions.
