The European Heritage Days at the heart of the 16th arrondissement
As every year, architecture, art and history lovers meet on the occasion of the European Heritage Days. This year, we suggest you to go discovering the 16th arrondissement—Green Hotels Paris’s quarter, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
An abundant quarter
This corner of Paris is packed with historical, contemporary or ethnic wonders to admire with your family, as a couple or between friends during these two days of open house. The Maison de la Radio—located near the quays of Seine—organises guided visits, a paper chase and concerts. Several major museums invite to meander freely through their collections like the Musée du Vin, the Musée Clémenceau or the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris. Some others even open the doors of their temporary exhibitions like the Palais Galliera which offers a guided visit of ‘Anatomy of a collection’ or the Musée Dapper and its ‘Chefs-d’oeuvre d’Afrique’. The Louis Vuitton Foundation also hosts contemporary arts lovers this weekend. It is the opportunity to go and discover its new coloured look signed by Daniel Buren.

Finally, know too that splendid theatres open their doors like the Ranelagh or Chaillot’s. This is also the case of Parisian town houses like the Hôtel de Breteuil which houses the Irish Embassy. Lastly, some places of worship are also part of the event like the Eglise Saint-Pierre-de-Chaillot or Saint-Honoré d’Eylau’s which suggest commented visits.
