Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux present “Oscyl” at the Théâtre National de Chaillot
From the 22nd to the 24th of February, 2018, the choreographers Héla Fattoumi and Éric Lamoureux are presenting their new show "Oscyl", at the Théâtre National de Chaillot. For this creation, the directors of the Centre chorégraphique national de Franche-Comté (CCN) de Belfort (national choreographic centre of Franche-Comté of Belfort) used the otherness, a theme that is dear to them. They asked the plastic artist Stéphane Pauvret to design seven oscyls, which are rounded, vertical sculptures, at the height of the dancers. They were inspired by the biomorphism of the French sculptor Jean Arp. During one hour, the dancers move around the stage and interact with their motionless alter-egos which come alive once touched. Like a moving chessboard, the stage of the Firmin Gémier room is transformed to plunge us at the very core of the connection between the human being and the “other”. This contemporary dance show is held just a few-minute walk away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
