Cinema: “Forks Over Knives” to be released tomorrow in France

Tomorrow, “Forks Over Knives”, a controversial movie tackling healthy eating, will be released in French theaters. While French public domain has recently been shaken with food scandals, the movie director is focusing on how guilty consumers can feel as regards sustainable food. Indeed, eating a rib steak is now said to be a threat for environment protection. As sociologist Claude Fischler points out: “Statistics show that we might threaten the earth’s balance if we continue to eat meat, for instance.”

Healthy eating culture
As opposed to junk food, which is likely to cause obesity, it is more and more common to hear about “healthy eating” culture. The film deals with the problems caused by junk food, like the risk of cancer and heart diseases, and is based on alarming figures. To overcome all these problems, two researchers explain that eating non-transformed vegetal products can improve your health. Are you ready to embrace a vegan lifestyle?
