The Théâtre National de Chaillot reveals its Scandinavian Festival in January
Starting today, and until January 27th, 2018, the Théâtre National de Chaillot pays tribute to the Scandinavian culture with the Festival Nordique (Scandinavian Festival). Artists from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark will perform on stage.
Cinema and dance: both themes in honour of this edition
On January 16th, 2018, for the opening night of the festival, Chaillot offers its audience the opportunity to admire the duet "… and Carolyn", staged by the Norwegian choreographer Alan Lucien Øyen. This short show of eight minutes borrows extracts from the soundtrack of the movie "American Beauty" by Sam Mendes, and appears as an abstract and moving extension of this big success of the 2000s. The medium-length movie "Ingmar Bergman dans l’œil des chorégraphes” (“Ingmar Bergman in the eye of the choreographers”), directed by four Swedish choreographers, Alexander Ekman, Pontus Lidberg, Joakim Stephenson and Pär Isberg, in honour of the famous Swedish director, will also be projected. For the following dates, you should not miss the dance show "Protagonist" directed by the choreographer Jefta van Dinther for the Ballet Culberg. This unique and rich festival is available only a few-minute walk away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, in the 16th arrondissement.
“Festival Nordique”, from the 16th of January to the 27th, 2018.
