Exhibition: Rembrandt in confidence
After ‘The open-air studio – Impressionists in Normandy’, the musée Jacquemart-André is interested as of now in Dutch art in the 17th century and in particular in the master Rembrandt. This retrospective displays around twenty paintings and about thirty graphic works thanks to loans of great international museums like New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art or The State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. Some other works come from the National Gallery in London and even from the Louvre Museum in Paris, to name just a few. Throughout the exhibition, we discover the stylistic evolution of the painter, his privacy, his creative process or the key moments of his career. This paintings are confronted with engravings, paintings and drawings in order to catch the enormity of the genius Rembrandt.
