Exhibition: Ragnar Kjartansson

The Palais de Tokyo, located a few minutes from the Green Hotels Paris (The Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni), hosts the first solo exhibition by Ragnar Kjartansson in France. This Icelandic artist and performer makes works which associate cinema, sculpture, performance, and more unusual: opera. Until January 10th 2016, the museum presents ancient works but also creations especially made for this event, as “Bonjour”, a romance which briefly originates, broadcasted on a loop. The artist also pays tribute to his country, in producing a screen adaptation of one of the most major books of the Icelandic literature: World Light (1937-1940), from the Nobel Prize Halldór Laxness. After this arty break, you can nibble at something at Tokyo Eat, Palais de Tokyo’s restaurant.

Open daily except on Tuesday, from 12pm to 12am.
