Exhibition: Orient / Asia – Round trip
For the first time since its reopening in 2001, the musée Guimet unveils its photography treasuries, from the 19th century to the contemporary era. These are around 156 prints which are here displayed, dragging us along a trip through Asia to the Orient. From Siam to Myanmar, from Macao to Hong Kong, to Japan and Algeria, the exhibition “Orient / Asia – Round trip” can be visited as a route through cultures and landscapes of every photographed country. Visitors will enjoy discover the works of the great South Korean contemporary photographer, Bohnchang Koo. Other shots of Korea will be presented, like those of a young photographer named Corpet, who immortalised this land in 1908. An event to discover only a few minutes walk from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
Exhibition: “Orient / Asia – Round trip”, from April 13th to June 27th 2016.
Open every day except on Tuesday, from 10am to 6pm.
Full rate: €9.50 / Reduced rate: €7.
