Exhibition: Marcel Broodthaers
Until early July 2015, the Monnaie de Paris will dedicate an exhibition to Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers. This great admirer of Magritte and Mallarmé's works has designed in 1968 a museum of modern art at his home in Düsseldorf. The artist then wished to question the legitimacy of the status of works of art, all the while pondering on the status of replicas on the art market. The Monnaie de Paris has decided to reproduce this famous museum, and notably key elements of this place, such as the "Rocker Arm of Austerlitz" or the "White Room".
"Marcel Broodthaers: Museum of Contemporary Art - Department of Eagles" exhibition, from April 18th to July 5th 2015.
Open every day from 11am to 7pm.
Late opening on Tuesday until 10pm.
Full rate: €12 .
