Exhibition: Le fil rouge
The Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton de Paris, with the contribution of the ones of Tokyo and Munich, is holding an exhibition which gathers eight world-famous contemporary artists – Ghada Amer, Tatiana Trouvé, Chiharu Shiota, and others – around a common theme: threads. Used as the main material for the creation of the masterpieces exhibited, threads allow a very wide artistic freedom. Embroidered, glued, combined with paint, used as brushes, threads are even used to stitch together pieces of fabric. Threads also turn into sculptures, defy gravity by tracing lines in space, with an almost architectural structure. A free exhibition entitled “Common thread”, which celebrates contemporary art in all its splendour.
“Le fil rouge” exhibition, from February 6th to May 3rd 2015.
Open Monday – Saturday from noon to 7pm, and from 11am to 7pm on Sundays.
Free entrance.
