Exhibition: La légende National Geographic
The Jardin des Plantes celebrates the creation of National Geographic through an important retrospective of more than one hundred photos, presented within its Galerie de Minéralogie et de Géologie (Gallery of Mineralogy and Geology). Organized in partnership with the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (National museum of natural History) and National Geographic, this exhibition goes back to the creation of the magazine, as well as on the strong moments which marked the 125 years of exploration and adventures throughout the world. Indeed, the magazine has its roots in 1888, when a group of scientists, explorers and adventurers went to discover the world. Inaccessible jungles, North and South Poles, abysses etc., they study both the fauna and the flora. “La légende National Geographic. 125 ans d’exploration et de voyages.” (The National Geographic legend. 125 years of exploration and journeys.) is available for families to discover until September 18th, 2017.
