Exhibition: Jardins d’Orient

Since April 19th, the esplanade of the Institut du Monde Arabe is welcoming an ephemeral garden realised by the landscaper Michel Péna, on the occasion of its exhibition “Jardins d’Orient”. Real oasis in the heart of Paris, the place presents paths of rose bushes, jasmines, orange trees and palm trees in which we can meander as well as seats where we can enjoy the sun. But adventure doesn’t stop there. Inside the museum, the visitor is invited to enter the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the gardens of the Alhambra in Granada to the Al-Azhar Park in Cairo or in the Test Garden in Algiers. This retrospective unveils the codes and sources of inspiration of the oriental garden and also enables to understand the role that nature plays nowadays, in the world’s big cities. A wonderful event recommended by the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, which combines beauty of nature with sustainable development and art.
