Exhibition: Hiroshi Sugimoto – Accelerated Buddha


As part of the Festival d’Automne (Autumn Festival), for its 20th exhibition, the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint-Laurent presents the work of Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto. The artist combines his works with those of his private collection of ancient artworks. The result is astounding, and highlights the birth and decline of Buddhism in Japan. This unprecedented retrospective comprises a video installation as well as statues, masks, engravings and pieces of ancient cloth. A must see.

Exhibition: “Hiroshi Sugimoto: Accelerated Buddha”, from October 10th, 2013 to January 26th, 2014.
Open Tuesday – Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
Full rate: €7 / Concession: €5 (elderly and under-25s) / Free for the under-10s.
