As part of the Festival d’Automne (Autumn Festival), for its 20^th exhibition, the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint-Laurent presents the work of Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto. The artist combines his works with those of his private collection of ancient artworks. The result is astounding, and highlights the birth and decline of Buddhism in Japan. This unprecedented retrospective comprises a video installation as well as statues, masks, engravings and pieces of ancient cloth. A must see.
