Exhibition: Fashion Mix
Many foreign designers contributed to what we now call the “French fashion tradition”. Gathering together about a hundred extraordinary pieces lent by the palais Galliera, the “Fashion Mix” exhibition is currently held at the musée de l’histoire de l’immigration de la Porte Dorée (“Museum of Immigration History”). Visitors will discover both private and public archival documents such as citizenship applications, creation documents of fashion houses, video interviews as well as files from the OFPRA (French asylum authority). Among the designers who contributed to the prestige of French fashion: Azzedine Alaïa, Issey Miyake, Elsa Schiaparelli, Cristobal Balenciaga and Paco Rabanne.
“Fashion Mix” exhibition, from December 9th 2014 to May 31st 2015.
Open Tuesday-Friday from 10am to 5:30pm and from 10am to 7pm on the weekends.
Closed on Monday and on May 1st 2015.
