Exhibition: Enquêtes vagabondes, le voyage illustré d’Emile Guimet en Asie
Wednesday, December 6th, 2017, the musée Guimet launches its new exhibition: “Enquêtes vagabondes, le voyage illustré d’Emile Guimet en Asie” (“Wandering investigations, the illustrated travel of Emile Guimet in Asia”). Until March 12th, 2018, the public is invited to discover the amazing epic of Emile Guimet (1838-1918), who travelled from United States to China, from India to Japan, to Europe with the painter and illustrator Félix Régamey (1844-1907). Photographs, drawings, paintings, personal objects, large format canvas and correspondences unveil his fantastic journey. This travel will lead to open a museum, the musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet, in Lyon, and then in Paris, thanks to the several patches from his journey. This remarkable event is to discover a few minutes walk-away from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.

Open every day, unless on Monday, from 10a.m. to 6p.m.
Closed on December 25th, 2017 and on January 1st, 2018.
