Exhibition: Co-Workers, the network as artist
Through its “Co-Workers” new exhibition, the musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris (Modern art Museum of the city of Paris), implies explore the exchanges complexity of our century. With Internet and smartphones, the individuals are subject to a constant information stream, which caused a new way of communication. Besides, as sociologist Barry Wellman highlights, we came to an era that we could name “connected individualism”. Today, the human being is not the only one to think: we are surrounded by objects which do it for us. This contemporary art retrospective takes an interest in society and individual notions, public and private sphere, which are just as topical as ever, in presenting: videos, sculptures, paintings or installations. Staged by the collectif DIS, this event displays works by Jasper Spicero, Trisha Baga, Douglas Coupland, Cécile B.Evans or Sarah Abu Abdallah & Abdullah Al-Mutairi. Co-Workers exhibition is open until January 31st 2016, just nearby the Green Hotels Paris: the Eiffeil Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
