Exhibition: Carte blanche to Jiang Dahai
In conjunction with its exhibition "Jade, from emperors to Art deco", the musée Guimet is giving carte blanche to the Chinese artist Jiang Dahai. He has installed himself in the rotunda of the 4th floor, where he is exhibiting six recent paintings that invite to contemplation. Born in Nanjing in 1946, the painter was trained at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, and the Beaux-Arts in Paris. Influenced by both cultures, he has a style all his own, inspired by both Chinese landscape painting and Western abstracts. The result is stunning, amazing. Visitors can also admire the artist in motion, painting in front of them. An event that is only a few minutes walk from Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
Exhibition "Carte blanche to Jiang Dahai", from 19th October 2016 to 6th February 2017.
Open every day, except on Tuesday, from 10a.m. to 6p.m.
Closed on the 25th December 2016 and on the 1st January 2017.
