“Boulevard Conakry”: when the circus arts invite themselves at the quai Branly
The young Guinean company Terya Circus takes place from 9th to 17th December, 2017, at the musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, for six representations at the pace of a Mandingo band. “Boulevard Conakry” is a choreographic and musical show, where the circus arts (aerial acrobats, equilibristics, hand to hand, Chinese pole, juggling and contortion) meet dance. This show is the witness of a tradition full of influences and stages the life, the mixture of fragrances and colours of their home city. Indeed, it is inspired by the atmosphere of the streets of the Conakry market, the capital of Guinea, where the sellers scream, dance and sing amid their stalls. Moreover, this creation also pays tribute to the creator of the first Guinean Circassian adventure, Pierrot Bidon, deceased in 2010. An unsusual and original work that is to be admired not far from the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.
“Boulevard Conakry” by the company Terya Circus, from 9th to 17th December, 2017.
