Ambrym: ethical and creative fashion made in France

Ambrym is an isolated island of the South Pacific, located in the archipelago of Vanuatu; it is also the name given to a French ethical fashion brand. We owe its creations, made using certified organic cotton and wool or European linen, to two young women. They draw inspiration from faraway cultures to create their collections, produced and made in small Parisian workshops in limited editions. Ambrym is incidentally keen to support handmade creations: handmade paintings and weaving, hand-crafted silkscreen printings etc. Each item of clothing made by Ambrym has its own "record form" mentioning its place and date of fabrication as well as its origins, among other things. A process, which falls within a sustainable and responsible way of consuming to perfection. Celebrities and professionals make no mistake about it either, as La Vie en Rose actress Marion Cotillard, highly involved in matters of environment, is a fan of their creations. Ambrym was also awarded a special recognition from the jury of the International Festival of the young fashion designers of Dinard in May 2008. It is therefore possible to follow fashion trends and be original, all the while still respect the planet.

Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm to 8pm, and on Sunday from 3pm to 7:30pm.
