9th edition of the Fête de la Nature
From May 20th to May 24th 2015, be sure not to miss the Fête de la Nature (Nature Festival) in France, Guadeloupe and Reunion. On the program: 5 days of free activities to fully appreciate the joys of nature and discover the beauty, wealth and importance of our natural heritage. For its 2015 edition, dubbed “Au bord de l’eau” (By the Water’s Edge), this festival rallies the crowd around the themes of shoreline and marshes on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Conservatoire national du littoral (Coastal protection agency) and its protection action.
Activities for all ages
Children and adults alike are invited to discover (or rediscover) the shoreline with a new perspective. Many activities will be organized on these themes: introduction to botany, sensory journey, land art session (land art is a contemporary art, which uses products solely procured in the wild), or even cooking activities and fabrication of natural beauty products. At the Green Hotels Paris, we highly recommend the creation of a mini-pond and mini-wetland in a public garden, rue du Moulin des Lapins (14th arrondissement) on May 23rd and May 24th 2015, from 2pm to 5pm, or the discovery of shoreline birds, rue Polonceau (18th arrondissement) on May 23rd 2015, from 12pm to 4pm.
A family event for all ages to better grasp the importance of the shoreline and marshes protection.
