The 19th edition of the race La Parisienne
The 19th edition of the 100% female race La Parisienne returns from 11th to 13th September 2015, right by the Green Hotels Paris. 40 000 participants are invited to run 6.7 kilometers in the heart of the capital. Friendly and supportive, this race will start at the pont d'Iéna (Iéna Bridge) and end at Joffre square, avenue de la Motte Picquet, and passing by the quai Branly in particular. Over the years, this sporting event has become inevitable, bringing together mothers, girlfriends, co-workers as well as beginners and established athletes. The race will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2015, with an official start at 9.30 am, but several jogger rounds will be launched every 7 minutes until noon to aerate the race. There’s no need to rush at the start since the time of each participant will be set off right after they pass the start line.
A sportive village open to everybody
The 11th and 12th September 2015 will be dedicated to the Village. This sportive village installed on an area of more than 9 000 m2 will offer free animations and workshops related to sport to everyone. Done in a Celtic atmosphere, the 2015 edition will offer introductions to Scottish and Irish dances, as well as a Swedish gym for fitness or even personalized coaching to improve female health. Fauve Hautot, Reebok’s ambassador which sponsors the event and a coach on the TV show “Dancing with the stars” will give a dance course on the central podium.
An engaged race
La Parisienne is involved on two levels: it’s associated with the Foundation for medical research which raises funds to support the fight against breast cancer and it’s also interested in environment protections. For this purpose, the race appealed to bio partners and will recycle participants’ used cups, provide 100% bio supplied products as well as use recycled paper for printing.
