Hyundai presents a hydrogen-powered SUV in Geneva Motor Show

Hyundai is currently presenting its brand new hydrogen-powered SUV, Intrado, at the 84th Geneva Motor Show. Both the structure (made of carbon and provided with super lightweight steel body panels) and technology of this concept-car are inspired by the aircraft industry. As for its name, it is a reference to the underside of an aircraft’s wing, which allows the plane to fly and is called intrados.

A 100% green vehicle
Hyundai Intrado SUV
has a range of 60 kilometers and only takes a few minutes to charge up completely. Thanks to its hydrogen fuel cell drivetrain, Intrado only emits water, which makes it fully environment-friendly. Besides, the power generated by the hydrogen fuel cell is directly transformed then stored in the 36kWh battery. We just have to wait for the production version of this brilliant innovation.

Geneva Motor Show, from March 6th to 16th, 2014.
