Apple launches its iPhone recycling program in France

A few days ago, smartphone giant Apple decided to implement its iPhone recycling program in France, enabling French people to bring back their devices in Apple stores. Until recently, you could only recycle your old phone via the internet. Those who make this eco-responsible gesture will obtain a gift card for their next smartphone purchase. Each customer who brings their old iPhone in an Apple Store will thus receive a gift card limited to a maximal amount of €215. Besides providing Apple customers with a pecuniary advantage, this program is also a way to protect the environment, since it allows old devices to be recycled and reused. Indeed, around 150 million iPhones have been sold worldwide last year, and they are all potentially recyclable cellphones.
