Focus on La Boucherie Végétarienne
As many people, you ask yourself if it is right for your health and for the planet to consume meat? So, why not try products from La Boucherie Végétarienne (Vegetarian Butcher’s Shop), recently opens at place d’Aligre, in the heart of the oldest food market of Paris. On site, you will find vegetarian substitutes which have the taste, the appearance but also the consistency of meat! Nuggets without chicken, bacon strips without bacon, all is possible. At once store and snack, La Boucherie Végétarienne was opened by Philippe Conte and Isabelle Bensimon who have discovered the simili-carnés (meat substitutes) during a trip in the Netherlands. By the way, all products on sale come from this country, and are made with wheat mixes, soya, wheat gluten, tofu, legume, spices or even peas (chickpeas or peas). It is also possible to consume on site or takeaway, wraps and other vegetarian burgers which are sufficiently rich in green proteins to guarantee all daily needs. The place is also environmentally-friendly, as the cutlery and the store are made of wood, and the packaging are recyclable.
Open Tuesday-Thursday from 11am to 3pm and from 4pm to 8pm.
Nocturnal from Friday to Saturday until 9pm.
