Exhibition: Taloi Havini

The Palais de Tokyo welcomes the first personal exhibition in France by the artist Taloi Havini. With “Habitat”, the young female artist invites us to discover one of the largest open-air copper mines in the world, situated on the island of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea. Presently disused, it is at the root of a deadly civil war, while also having provoked an ecological disaster. It was thanks to aerial shots, that the discovery of the local swamps harbouring toxic residues was made, while gold diggers made daily progress.  This retrospective takes place near the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni, until September 10th, 2017. Moreover, this exhibition provides an opportunity to admire “The Dream of Forms”, another of the museum’s cultural events this summer.

Exhibition “Taloi Havini – Habitat”, from June 14th to September 10th, 2017.
Open every day, except on Tuesday, from midday to midnight.
Full rate: €12.50 / Concessions (18-25): €9.40.
