Exhibition: Takis, Champs magnétiques

Starting from tomorrow, the Palais de Tokyo is hosting a major exhibition dedicated to Vassilakis Takis, a Greek sculptor based in France since the ‘50s. This contemporary plastic artist is a major figure in post-war sculpture and has always been fascinated by magnetic fields. Throughout his career (he will celebrate his 90th birthday this year), he integrated music, light and movement – in combination with the use of magnets – into his sculptural practice. With his installations, particularly his famous “Telesculptures”, he combined art and science with genius.

“Takis: Champs magnétiques” exhibition, from February 18th to May 17th 2015.
Open every day from noon to midnight, except on Tuesdays.
Full rate: €10 / Reduced rate (under-26s and over-60s): €8 / Free for under-18s.
