Exhibition: Impressions mémorielles

In parallel with the exhibition "Nous et les autres – Des préjugés au racisme" (We and the others – From prejudices to racism) which is held until January 8th, 2018, the musée de l’Homme is presenting “Impressions mémorielles” (Memory Impressions), a collective photographic exhibition on the themes of slavery and slave trade. The retrospective presents the works of ten African, Brazilian and French photographers: Céline Anaya Gautier, Fabrice Monteiro, Robert Charlotte, José Bassit, David Damoison, Mirtho Linguet, Claudio Edinger, Véronique Vial, Samuel Nja Kwa and Adolphe Catan (1899-1979). Conferences, projections and meetings are also planned outside the event, to approach the theme of slavery during history. They are organized with the help of writers, musicians, historians, poets and storytellers who exchange with the public regarding this taboo subject, which must be demystified. A very beautiful retrospective which is available near the Green Hotels Paris, the Eiffel Trocadéro and the Gavarni.

Exhibition “Impressions mémorielles”, from May 10th to July 10th, 2017.
Open every day, except on Tuesday, from 10a.m. to 6p.m.
Free entry upon presentation of the museum admission ticket.
