Exhibition: Once Upon a Time, the Orient Express

The Arab World Institute holds an exhibition organized in partnership with the SNCF (French railway company), devoted to a legendary train, which is an icon of the Art déco period: the Orient Express. Divided into two parts, the exhibition begins on the square in front of the Institute, where visitors can discover the interior of the luxuous train that was reconstituted for the occasion: first the locomotive, then three cars and a dining-car. Inside the museum, you will see archival documents such as posters, movies and photographs that will allow you to be immersed in the prestigious universe of the Orient Express, from Istanbul to Damas, from Beirut to Luxor and Aswan. A wonderful retrospective to discover until the end of summer.

Exhibition: "Once Upon a Time, the Orient Express", from April 4th to August 31st 2014.
Open Tuesday - Friday from 10am to 6:30pm, and on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10am to 7pm.
Late opening on Friday until 9:30.
Prices: from €8.50 to €10.50. Free for the under-16s.
