A Second Skin Made in NU

November 2nd, 2011 by admin

Fashionable, simple and timeless, NU jeans are as trendy as brands like Diesel and Le Temps des Cerises, but they have an advantage: their ethical value. The French brand was founded in 2007 by two designers, Maxime and Jean-Philippe Guillon Pete. Came from fair trade, the whole collection (jeans and ready-to-wear for men and women), is Eco-friendly. The cotton is 100% organic (label GOTS / EKO, SKAL) cultivated without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, spinning and weaving are made in Turkey and Tunisia, according to environmental strict standards. Jeans don’t undergo any treatment or washout with enzymes, chlorine or coating with oil-based resin. To wash them out, now, you just have to wear them long enough, without washing them too … Finally, rivets, buttons, fasteners and other heavy metal and nickel-free accessories respect the Nu’s environmental commitments (Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1). No more risk of allergies, clothing NU act like a second skin!

Jeans are on sale on the official website of the brand.

“Somewhere over the rainbow”

April 13th, 2011 by admin

Since 1993, the brand Somewhere brings a hint of poetry to ethical fashion. Responsible casual chic fashion, Somewhere first draws its inspiration from nature and puts natural fabrics forward such as linen, organic cotton or wool. Certain clothes (and even sneakers) are made with recycled fabrics or fibers. Urban men and women can all identify with this organic but modern, instinctive and easy to wear clothing line.

The boutique is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 7.30 pm.

A little extra: Somewhere takes part in many ecological causes. For example, the brand supported the film “Hope” from Yann Arthus-Bertrand and the “Green Act” project in 2009, in partnership with PEFC in order to promote the sustainable management of forests by planting around 5,000 new trees in the Landes.

Ekyog: green Brittany fashion

March 16th, 2009 by admin

Established in 2003, Ekyog is an eco-chic brand of clothing that has its origins in Brittany. The collections are based on the “be sweet”. Ekyog offers clothing designed like a second skin: soft materials, fluidity and freedom of movement. The autumn-winter collection 2009 is full or romance with puff sleeves and jabots. The fabrics are light, fluid and vapor. Concerning the colors, Ekyog has a dark range of colors from black to purple and blue. On the very well designed website, there are explanations on their choice of fabrics. We learn for example that if you can not find corn and soybeans, it is simply because of the risk of being faced with GMs. Ekyog doesn’t offer only clothes, the brand has diversified and offers organic cosmetics, a cleanser that has the effect of sweet foam. Also available, a child collection ranging from 0 to 2 year-old.
