Art serving the environment

3 August 2012 by admin

Saving the natural resources of the Earth, and particularly water, are the most current and important environmental worries. In Madrid, a Street art Spanish collective, Luzinterruptus, set up an installation denouncing the disappearance of public fountains in the city in the last 30 years. Their signature move: luminous and engaging urban interventions that attack politicians and environmental issues (nuclear energy, green areas, etc.). In response to the indifference of the Spanish public administration concerning drinking water, this organization collected during 4 months hundreds of identical bottles to make their work called: “Drinking water running down the streets”. A brilliant idea as pretty as it is engaging.
