The artist, known for cutting and then painting in black and white quotations from Mohammed Ali and from the movie Apocalypse Now, is exhibiting his works at the Modern Museum of Art in Paris. After using words known by everyone, he immersed himself into coating his own work with layers of white paint over the patterns he did before. He mixes simplicity and honesty capturing fear, euphoria, poetry and black humor, but also uses techniques of photography image adaptation and traditional painting in his rather abstract art.

Balzac resuscitated thanks to Bertrand Leclair!

While la Maison de Balzac is currently closed for renovations, novelist Bertrand Leclair in association with the Societé des amis de Balzac and with the house, pays tribute to the great literary man throughout writer’s residencies. A unique opportunity to discover in a more contemporary way, the works of Honoré de Balzac, and notably le Cousin Pons. Through a half-cinematographic half-musical remake, we ask ourselves how would be Le Cousin Pons of our days, what would he collect and how he would live. Literature comes to life thanks to the Résidence d´écrivain de Balzac! (Balzac’s writer residency).
Balzac was a true Paris lover. The proof here!

Welcome to Tokyo Eat

To charge your batteries between two exhibitions at the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d´Art Moderne (Modern Museum of Art), nothing better than a bobo (french for: bourgeois-bohemian) break at Tokyo Eat, one of the most beautiful terraces in the 16^th district. In a design and artsy setting, we taste a world cuisine with the company of our other half or with friends, with electronic music on top of it all. In May, wine lovers will be delighted to experience the Sweet Bordeaux soirees, event that wishes to democratize its name within women and youngsters. Are you tempted?

To come: Sweet Bordeaux soirees will take place the 25^th and 26^th of May, the 1^st, 2^nd, 22^nd and 23^rd of June and July 20^th and 21^st, from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The restaurant is open everyday except Mondays, from noon to 1 a.m.
